About The Author
The author of "The Art of Eating Without A Stomach", Dr Peter Thatcher, is a former NHS consultant physician and Gastroenterologist in Cornwall, UK and is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology and the Royal College of Physician’s (I).
He trained in medicine at Kings College London back in 1988 and underwent specialist training in gastroenterology at a variety of well-known London based hospitals including Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital.
Dr Thatcher has always had a keen interest in stomach cancer and runs a well know website dedicated to the condition called mystomachcancersymptoms.com. His family has also been touched by the condition when his father, Graham, was diagnosed with the condition back in 1990.
“The Art of Eating without A Stomach” is a niche publication for patients who have undergone gastrectomy or stomach removal. It covers everything a person considering, or who has been through, gastrectomy needs to know. It is the first book of it's kind specifically for anyone who has been surgically treated for stomach cancer.
